I-35W Bridge Collapse Proves 4/29 Sabotage

MINNEAPOLIS: Wednesday evening the I-35W Bridge “spontaneously” collapsed. What caused the collapse? A burning truck can be clearly seen in many photographs, but it is impossible for this fire to have caused the collapse since petroleum fire cannot melt steel. Did anyone know about the collapse? A press release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation warned drivers to avoid the bridge hours before the incident occurred.

    it didn’t collapse because of a truck. you’re over re-acting i live about 25 minutes south of the 35W bridge and its on damn near every channel and thats sure as hell not what they’re saying happened. the bay bridge was a truck, ironically i was in san fransicso when it collapsed staying in the dorms at the university.

    What amazes me about all of the experts being interviewed on local television this evening, is that no one has mentioned the so-called “explosions” being reported by the eyewitness to the collapse. Judging by the descriptions provided by eyewitnesses on the bridge at the time of the collapse, I believe the findings will be that the cause of the collapse was a design failure.

    Several eyewitnesses reported seeing what looked like “explosions coming up from” the concrete roadway just prior to the collapse. I am reasonably certain that authorities and investigators will find that the extreme heat of the last several days in Minneapolis had caused the expansion and control joints in the bridge to close completely. When this happens, the pressure building up between the sections of concrete can amount to thousands of pounds per square-inch.

    As the pressure in these joints goes beyond the compressive strength of the concrete, the roadway will “buckle”. When this happens on a regular highway, it is a major or minor nuisance, depending upon the size of the buckle. However, a truss bridge is a delicate balance of tension and compression in its structural components.

    If the buckling broke this delicate balance and permitted one or both of the vertical members over the piers to shift off vertical (even slightly), a chain reaction would follow that could (and, likely, would) pull down many connecting segments of the bridge on either side of the primary supporting piers. These piers, in this specific case, were about 478 feet apart.

    Well, the Republican National Convention people are here, 200 strong, all worried about Norm Coleman’s re-election, and down goes the bridge over 35W by downtown mpls at 6 pm tonite, and Coleman comes on talking like Giuilliani about being there tomorrow to investigate. The FBI is on the scene. And people who lived to tell about it say: just before it collapsed it started shaking, and in fact the Cedar Riverside Towers bldg started shaking. A guy on the stone arch bridge walking said a squib shot up through the bridge two hundred feet in the air. One lady who watched said it shook and then “pancaked” in a huge cloud of concrete dust, and there was black smoke. Sound familiar? One lady who was driving on the bridge when it collapsed said it was “boom, boom, boom.”

    Ironically, we were watching Terrorstorm, the DVD, by Alex Jones, of Prisonplanet.com, the lead speaker at the 911 Truth convention I went to last summer in Chicago.

    It look more like the bridge collapse caused the truck to burst into flames… not the other way around (are you being silly on purpose?)… Anyway, telling people to avoid the bridge because construction repairs are taking place doesn’t mean imminent failure is going to occur. Steel does fail, so it was most likely a combination of the stresses of age, heat, traffic, weight and salting during the winter weakening the concrete and steel rivets…

    I-35W was one lane because there’s road construction. Roads all over the Minneapolis/St. Paul area have reduced lanes because there’s road construction all over. From July 23rd to July 30th I was in the area because I was visiting a friend in Eagan. If there aren’t other news reports of lane reductions, though there probably are, then that also isn’t weird. I-35W is a very busy road, so of course that’s going to be on the news. You’re just trying to find something where there is nothing.

    Please explain how the WCCO story you site wands driver to “avoid the bridge”. I just read it and it states there will be construction on the bridge and lane reductions. There was nothing in the story telling drivers to avoid the bridge.

    Um yeah the bridge had been going through resurfacing work. The bridge had been down to two lanes to give the workers room. I live in minneapolis and its beyond comprehension how fast you can jump to conclusions. You are right though- the bridge didn’t collapse because of fire, that truck was ON the bridge.

    Massive ULF ‘Blast’ Detected In US Bridge Collapse Catastrophe

    Reports from Russia’s Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics located in
    Irkutsk are reporting today that their Siberian Solar Radio Telescope
    (SSRT) detected a ‘massive’ ultra low frequency (ULF) ‘blast’ emanating
    from Latitude: 45° 00′ North Longitude: 93° 15′ West at the ‘exact’
    moment, and location, of a catastrophic collapse of a nearly 2,000 foot
    long bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    To the horrific destruction of the Interstate 35W Bridge which spanned
    the Mississippi River we can read as reported by the Star Tribune News
    Service:

    “The 1,907-foot bridge fell into the Mississippi River and onto roadways
    below. The span was packed with rush hour traffic, and dozens of
    vehicles fell with the bridge leaving scores of dazed commuters
    scrambling for their lives.

    Nine people were confirmed dead as of 4 a.m. today. Sixty were taken to
    hospitals and 20 people were still missing this morning. Authorities
    said they expected the death toll to rise.”

    Russian Military reports state that the total collapse of such a massive
    bridge, and in the absence of evidence linking its destruction to
    terrorist activity, could only have been accomplished by an acoustic
    weapon, of which the United States Military is known to possess.

    These reports further state that one of the United States primary
    research organizations into acoustic weapons research is Augsburg
    College, and which is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and most
    importantly less than 1 mile from the Interstate 35W Bridge collapse.

    To the exact reason of why, and what exactly happened in this
    catastrophe we can only speculate, but, with what is known about the
    United States past history of using sophisticated weapons on their own
    citizens for ‘research’ purposes it certainly lies in the realm of
    possibility that this horrific tragedy when the subject comes to the use
    of ULF weapons.

    To the past usage of these new types of weapons we can read even back
    into the 1980’s of the United States research into their use as reported
    by the CNN News Service:

    “Imagine the implications of a weapon with no visible trace — a weapon
    that could knock out tanks, ships, and planes as fast as the speed of
    light. The same technology, with modifications, could disorient and
    even tranquilize military personnel, rendering them virtually helpless
    in the battle zone. These are the new weapons of war we will examine in
    this series.

    For the past 40 years, the world has been riveted by the threat of
    nuclear war, and more recently by the prospect of space defenses using
    lasers and other modern technologies.

    Lightning is the most dramatic form of energy to be found in nature.
    Scientists have succeeded in creating limited types of artificial
    lightning. And some think that these could be the forerunners of a new
    type of directed-energy weapon, part of a family of weapons that operate
    within the radio frequency segment of the electromagnetic spectrum, and
    are thus referred to as radio frequency weapons.”

    To the dangers of ULF weapons being used against civilians we can read
    the warnings of Dr. Rauni Leena Kilde, MD, the former Chief Medical
    Officer for Lapland (northern Finland), who warned in 1999:

    “When the use of electromagnetic fields, extra-low (ELF) and ultra-low
    (ULF) frequencies and microwaves aimed deliberately at certain
    individuals, groups, and even the general population to cause diseases,
    disorientation, chaos and physical and emotional pain breaks into the
    awareness of the general population, a public outcry is inevitable.”

    To the exact reason of why the United States would be targeting
    Minneapolis with such a massive ULF ‘blast’ we can find in the exact
    neighborhoods that surround the Interstate 35W Bridge, and which are
    home to one of the largest Muslim populations in the United States,
    including over 30,000 Somalis who are outraged by the US sponsored
    invasion of their home Nation by Ethiopian forces.

    For the American people as a whole, this catastrophe provides yet
    another example of the consequences of their allowing their Military
    Forces to gain total control over their economy and lives, and which
    history has long shown leads always towards total destruction.

    It’s the Bush weather machine creating global warming that caused the bridge to collapse. I saw a picture of Cheney in a rowboat inspecting the joists a few weeks prior to Bush turned up the heat with his weather machine.

    After watching the video and reading what you wrote its obvious you in fact did not watch the video. You claim that both supports had to blow to cause the bridge to collapse in the manner that it did, but when you watch the movie the central span falls straight down and THEN the northern support falls.

    Unfortuntely someone is even crazier than you. This site claims it was an ultra-low frequency accoustic weapon, then uses two links that don’t mention what the site claims they do… just like your MNDOT warning.     When it was just the bridge in the bay area, I ignored it. Then the controlled demolition of the bridge in Jamestown, RI and I chalked it up to coincidence. But now this… amazing. I don’t care if the neocoms are behind a secret plot to destroy bridges, I demand that we go bomb some third world country right away.

    Oh, and I’ll keep an close eye on Becky (first poster in this thread) because she openly admits to being present for at least two of these events. Too much of a coincidence to ignore, she’s got to be in on the conspiracy.

    “Richard D. Cushing” {not his or her real name by the way} also knows exactly how the bridge collapsed within just one hour and 11 minutes, whilst everyone else is stumped more than a week later.
    First of all, what does closure of the expansion and control joints, due to weather supposedly,and the resulting buckling of concrete roadway have to do with the structure and its complete synchronized simultaneous failure? Thats like saying if you pull the shingles off a roof the whole house falls down. Ridiculous proposition. Secondly, a truss bridge is not THAT delicate a balance of tension and compression. Its a self standing steel structure, not a house of cards. And lastly, why are you rushing in with psuedo-scientific explanations and so anxious to disprove ear witness accounts of pre collapse explosions? Were YOU there MR. Cushing???
